3 stages of separation (a poem)

there are no stages, really
in the cocoons of life
and it is metaphorically retold in
the manner it is understandable by
the way the headlines are written, grabbing
attention as things go viral

stages are formulae and way too simplistic in
designing the templates that we grant freedom to
dictate our feelings of despondency, of languishing in
the hope that you would come here and see
my vulnerabilities and will simply hold my hand and say
that you love me

Isn’t this as simple or shall we need more jargon with
a hope
that they would catapult us in some heroic fallacies?
if you are reading to understand your own shallow prophecies,
when you miss someone and know that
they would not turn up but still believe in magic,
this verse is not for you

I am holding her now, for the next moment is something that will
be not there in flesh and blood
or in the exactness of memory
the train leaves and never stays still
and I do not hear anything at all.
